Will Richland’s garbage service take bulky items?
Not on your regular weekly pickup. Richland runs its own city garbage utility, and large items like couches, mattresses and appliances need a separately scheduled large-item collection for a fee, with the items set out for the crew. Trash Bandits picks up wherever the items are, whether that’s inside the house, in the garage or out in the backyard, and can take a whole load in one trip.
Can I haul junk to the landfill myself?
Yes. The city’s Horn Rapids Landfill at 3102 Twin Bridges Road is open to the public Monday through Saturday, and Richland residents with city garbage service pay a lower resident rate with ID and proof of service. If you don’t have a truck or trailer, or the load is heavy, it’s usually easier to let us do the lifting, hauling and disposal.
How much does junk removal cost in Richland?
It depends on how much you have and how easy it is to reach. Our minimum pickup charge is $135. Removing items from inside the home adds $35 (garages excluded), and stairs add $20 per flight. Text photos to (509) 416-0141 for a quick quote. We always confirm the final price before we start.
Can you remove a hot tub from a Badger Mountain South or Hills West backyard?
Yes. Hot tubs in fenced backyards are common across South Richland. Send photos of the hot tub and the path to the street, including gates, slopes and steps, and we’ll plan the removal. We can also drain the tub and disconnect the power as an add-on service. Just let us know when you book.
